Getting their name from an unfortunate indecent with a microphone, hard rock band Breaking Benjamin formed in 1999 and became the band that we know today after a short stint as a soft rock covers band. 2024 marks the twentieth anniversary of their platinum album, We Are Not Alone.

Staind hit the big time in the early 2000s, particularly known for their 2001 track It's Been Awhile. They cite bands including Suicidal Tendencies, Pantera, and Pearl Jam among their inspirations and are a staple in the hard rock and nu-metal scenes.
